Pazmino’s design career was launched as the result of a Peace Corps/USAID joint venture that paired Scandinavian designers with local craftsmen in Latin America to encourage the production of furniture from local materials. This is a pair of lounge chairs, each with a frame constructed from flat, rounded planes of teak held together by a system of interlocking joints and wooden pins. The seat and backrest are tooled leather decorated with Pre Columbian imagery.
