An amazing four doored rosewood sideboard from Ib Kofod Larson for Seffle Sweden.
Great colour, the figure of the veneer is stunning with matched grain across the front with a cross band running along the top of the front section to really set it off. The top is stunning also with a mixture of colours which is simply gorgeous.
The sideboard is a very good size which make it easier to fit into the modern home. Internally there are adjustable shelves and a drawer to the right section. The inside panels are a mixture of ash veneer and white panels all of which help to enhance the external colour. The sideboard is in very good condition, but does have a few light surface marks to the top and a small chip. (we have photos of this an can email them to you upon request)
Ib Kofod Larsen’s furniture from the 1950’s and 60’s are today more desirable than ever before. Danish Kofod Larsen designed storage and seating for the Swedish market in the 60’s but did not really reach any commercial success. Maybe his organic design was to extreme for the Swedish taste at the time. In Denmark, on the contrary, his furniture received immediate recognition. Today his creations are sold at higher and higher prices, as his clean designs, often in beautiful rosewood or palisander, have become highly appreciated by a global community of design enthusiasts.
