This coffee table features a solid sculpted brass base fashioned as two antelope skulls each with a stunning pair of horns.

It has been created by Dikran Khoubesserian and manufactured by the “Fondica” very know foundry since the 1960s. Many excellent sculptors made their work done there.

Dikran Khoubesserian (1913-1991) was born into an Armenian family in Mersina, Turkey. At the age of ten, he was sent to Paris, where he studied from 1923-1930 at St. Barbe high school. He continued his studies at the school of civil engineering, graduating in 1933 with a degree in engineering and architecture.

In 1950, he began studying sculpture at the Grande Chaumière Academy in Paris, and circa 1952, he relocated permanently to France where he concentrated on working with bronze. In 1961, Dikran became a full-time sculptor. He presented his work at exhibitions and various galleries until the end of the 1980s.
